Mystery Fiction | The Famous Murder of Amir Johnson | Work-In-Progress First Draft

On April 20, 2005, a murder happened within a famous family called the Johnsons. The Johnsons were a white family who were notorious for having light green eyes like green tree pythons. The whole event was covered on Fox News: “There was a murder today around 3:13 AM where Amir Johnson had passed away, likely due to food poisoning.”

The next day, the detectives came into the Johnsons' house for questioning. The possible suspects were everyone else in the Johnson house. There was Mr. David Johnson, the father of two 13-year-old twins named Carl and Alfred. He is around 6 feet 5 inches tall and looks like the famous actor “The Rock” in terms of body frame. He runs an investment company named “InvestForProfit”. Then there is Mrs. Rosa Johnson, David’s wife. She is short, standing around 5 feet 4 inches, and very skinny. She is a famous chef in New Jersey, known for her tasty sushi. She also has two sisters, Selena and Beth, who live with her. Both sisters are skinny, frail, and the same height as Rosa. They started a fashion design company called “Beauty Fashion.” Lastly, there is David’s mother, Mrs. Ruth Johnson, a retired professor. She is even shorter, standing around 5 feet tall, and a bit fat. She is seventy-six years old. Detective Sheppard, who is 6 feet 5 inches and muscular, told everyone the story: one of the Johnsons had prepared tea, and someone had placed some form of deadly poison in Amir’s tea, leading to his death. They mentioned they couldn’t identify the suspect because the room was “too dark,” which created lots of complications.

Everyone was shocked, and they had no idea who could have done it. But obviously, one was faking their shock because one of them was the murderer.

Detective Sheppard started questioning David:

Detective Sheppard: Hey David, where were you during the murder of Amir Johnson?

David Johnson: I was sleeping sir. I was on the second floor just sleeping next to my wife Rosa. That was all I was doing sir.

Detective Sheppard: What about your two kids, Carl and Alfred?

David Johnson: I am pretty sure they were sleeping in their individual beds on the bottom floor.

Detective Sheppard: One more question: is it possible your brother Amir had any health issues in the past?

David Johnson: No sir. He was fit and fine.

Detective Sheppard: Thank you, sir!

After they interviewed David, Detective Sheppard wanted to interview Selena and Beth.

Questioning started:

Detective Sheppard: Hey Selena and Beth, where were you both during the murder of Amir Johnson?

Selena Johnson: I was sleeping.

Beth Johnson: I was sleeping too, but then I heard Amir scream. He screamed for help and was crying, so I went up to him and asked him what happened. Amir said he had no idea; he was just crying because it was a life-or-death situation. I asked him what he consumed during the last few hours. He said he drank some tea because he had a sore throat. After three minutes, he was dead, and I was mourning.

Detective Sheppard: Beth, thanks for that information, and I’m sorry for your loss. Did you ask Amir who made the tea?

Beth Johnson: I’m guessing it was David’s mama, Mrs. Ruth Johnson.

Detective Sheppard: Thank you for the info.

A lot of the questioning was done, and Detective Sheppard had a bad feeling about Mrs. Ruth Johnson. He had already kind of made up his mind that Ruth killed her own son, Amir Johnson.

Detective Sheppard went all the way to the upstairs floor to question Ruth:

Detective Sheppard: Hey Ruth, I wanted to ask you a question. Were you the one that made tea for Amir?

Ruth: Yes, I did because he had a sore throat.

Detective Sheppard: Stop lying, Ruth. You killed him.

Ruth: No, I did not. I was really trying to help my son. Why would I want to kill my son?

During the conversation, Detective Sheppard placed cuffs on Ruth and arrested her.

The next day, everyone woke up feeling relieved that the murderer was arrested. But Rosa knew something was wrong and told her husband that Ruth wasn’t the murderer. The couple went to the detective’s office, and she swore Ruth wasn’t guilty. She said that she helped her make tea and confirmed that Ruth did not put any poisonous chemicals in the tea to kill Amir. The detectives didn’t even care in the slightest, so they kept ignoring her. But then David also said that his cameras showed Ruth wasn’t guilty. David showed his house cameras to the detectives. The detectives nodded and suggested showing it to court.

When the court case started, David showed the camera film to the court judge to display how Ruth wasn’t guilty. After a few days of judgment, the court freed her from jail.

It was a new day, and the murderer was not discovered yet. On Fox News, it was reported that a lady was missing around “Bob and Dave’s Grocery Store.” By the way, Bob and Dave’s Grocery Store is the nearest grocery store to the Johnsons' house. While the news was reported, David and Rosa Johnson had just entered the store to buy some groceries. When they entered the store, Rosa noticed a dead body.

Rosa and David looked extremely confused and started discussing the body:

Rosa Johnson: Hey David, what the hell happened?

David Johnson: I have no idea, Rosa. Let me tell the store manager.

David told the store manager that there was a body lying on the other side of the store. The manager went and looked, then showed David the body. The manager asked David if he knew the dead person. David knew who it was. He was grieving, and the sadness was all over his face, tears dropping from his eyes, and his expression showed wonder about how this all occurred.

Rosa noticed David’s sadness and asked him about what happened:

Rosa: David, what happened? Why are you so sad?

David: That dead body was my mom. (He was breaking down) She passed away.

Rosa hugged David while he was crying.

David: (He was extremely infuriated) I have a feeling the murderer of my brother and my mom are the same.

Rosa: That is definitely possible.

David: (In an extremely angry voice) I will find the murderer and I will show him no mercy.

Now, not only Amir Johnson is dead, but also Ruth Johnson has died, and the reason for her death isn’t discovered yet.

David and Rosa came home to meet their kids, Carl and Alfred, and they announced the death of Ruth Johnson. Everyone was feeling sad about it. Although, while the couple was announcing the news, Alfred couldn’t resist telling the news of Carl’s school suspension for “racism and too much swearing online.” The parents were extremely disappointed with their son Carl.

A few hours later, David was still disappointed about what his son Carl did, so he went through Carl’s phone and saw his messages. Although there was a message from Alfred saying, “Grandma has passed away in Bob’s and Dave’s.” David was extremely confused about how Alfred knew before him.

As a result, David went to talk to his son Alfred about how he knew about the murder:

David: Hey son, I wanted to ask you something.

Alfred: What’s up?

David: How do you know about the murder of Ruth Johnson?

Alfred: I have no idea.

David: I saw you messaged Carl about the murder.

Alfred: I heard a little bit about it, but I have no idea.

A few minutes later, someone rang the doorbell. It was Detective Sheppard and the manager of Bob’s and Dave’s Grocery Store. They wanted to discuss some breaking news:

Detective Sheppard: Hey David, the store manager and I discovered something.

Store Manager: We found the murderer of your mother in this camera tape.

David was around his family while watching the film. He saw the film with the detective and store manager. He saw his mother get shot by a young man. After David finished watching the film, he looked at his family and stared down at his son.

David: Hey Alfred, you piece of sh*t. (He grabbed his son’s neck and he was about to scream) Why did you kill my mother? Why did you?

Detective Sheppard: We have to arrest your son Alfred.

David: Hold on, detective. I want to ask Alfred why before you arrest him. (He releases Alfred’s neck) Why, Alfred? (He was breaking down in tears)

While David is seeking an answer, Alfred sees it as an opportunity to run away. He tries to get out of the house through the front door. Carl chases after him. Luckily, there are cops outside the house who catch Alfred trying to escape, and they cuff him.

David: Hey Alfred, explain to me why?

Alfred: You treated me horribly my whole life. You never give me the things I want. You never let me go outside and have fun. You tell me to stay grounded and only study. You treated me like I had no life. I saw killing your mother as an opportunity for revenge.

Carl: To be honest, Alfred, f*ck you. If you want to succeed in life, you have to stay grounded and be the best at what you can do. Steve Jobs, Michael Jordan, Tom Brady mastered their craft and became successful. You just want to go to parties and drink alcohol. You have a dad who cares about you, and now you kill his mother. What a shame, Alfred. What a f*cking shame.

David: One more thing, Alfred, were you the murderer of Amir Johnson?

Alfred: Yes, I am.

David is extremely infuriated and slaps Alfred. He is so mad he wants to kill him. On the bright side, Alfred is arrested and sentenced to life in prison. Later, he is executed by hanging.

Even though Amir Johnson and Ruth Johnson both passed away, the family feels relieved that the serial killer, Alfred Johnson, is gone.

Selena and Beth continue to run their fashion company, and Beauty Fashion becomes one of the greatest businesses in the world. Their iconic “princess dress” is worn by women everywhere. It becomes a revelation in women’s fashion.

Carl grows up to become a rich billionaire in his own right, becoming a successful businessman loved by everyone, unlike his brother. Carl is inducted into the Wall of Fame and, over time, marries Shelby Johnson in 2017. They have two boys in 2019.

David and Rosa Johnson continue to live happy lives. David runs his investment company, and they enjoy a lavish life with no more fears within their family.

All of them live happily ever after.
